Overview

HiveRadar RDK in conjunction with HiveRadar Cellular Wireles Gateway enables the deployment of wireless connectivity for a variety of applications including homes, offices, vehicles, machinery, and infrastructure. The system utilizes industrial-grade hardware with embedded firmware to leverage the increasing mobility and coverage of cellular and WiFi networks.

To fully unlock its capabilities, it is essential to configure the router settings accurately, which involves choosing the appropriate modem, adjusting radio access technology levels, selecting frequency bands, and activating 5G capabilities, among other settings.

A series of operational guidance resources are available, providing expert advice for navigating the firmware interfaces. By adhering to these best-practice configuration recommendations, users can achieve optimal throughput speeds, improved network responsiveness, enhanced connection reliability, and maximize the utilization of your cellular wireles gateway.

If you’ve received and deployed your HiveRadar Cellular Wireless Gateway for the first time, most settings are preconfigured to be as plug-and-play as possible. However, we recommend starting with the APN Settings page. This ensures the device connects properly to the cellular network associated with your SIM card. Some operators may require manually entering the APN (Access Point Name) gateway address for the SIM card to establish a connection.
